Boise May Be Ranked #6, But It’s #1 To Us

A list was recently published by MSN.com stating the top 20 places to live in the United States. The list is based on population, median home sale price, median annual salary, unemployment rates, and crime rates. As I was reading the list, I was pleasantly surprised to see that Boise made the list, ranking #6.

With the metro population being 639,616, Boise is one of the smaller cities on the list. But you know what they say, “good things come in small packages!” Out of the top 10 on the list, Boise has one of the lowest unemployment rates and is also one of the most affordable. Our most populous city was also ranked with the lowest combined violent and property crime rates out of the 100 total ranked metro areas.

If I had to pick one word to describe Boise, it would definitely be versatile. There are beautiful mountains, lakes and reservoirs but also trendy restaurants, museums and shops all within a reasonable driving distance. So whether you’re the outdoorsy type, or more urban, there is something here for everyone.
